How probate fees work. Every probate matter begins with a $450 consultation, paid before the meeting, to review the will, the property and the family. Representation requires a $7,500 retainer, held in trust and billed at $450 an hour.

No payment plans. The consultation fee and the retainer are paid in full, and the firm does not offer payment plans.
